We had a great time at the straw market. Come prepared to spend money. The sales ladies are very personable and persuasive.

Dont settle for the first price, shop around and make offers! Go closer to the end of the day to get better prices. I was surprised that they remembered me and my friend the second day we came. They also will personalize some things if...More

The shopping was fun here. Obviously, prices are high you are in the Bahamas. Bars are small, but prices are average. It was fun in the evenings on the weekend for the live music.

We shopping there a few times but the live entertainment, multiple bars and night life was fun. We went several times. You can negotiate prices in most of the shops.

A previous visitor (from Sweden) answered this question correctly. However, if you return to the island for a longer stay, many of the hotels provide a shuttle to and from the market daily. Enjoy!
