Great shops and evening entertainment. Plenty of different places to have any meal or snack during the trip. Jewelry is plentiful and affordable for many budgets.

These shops are located right next to the ship dock. They have many souvenir choices. The locals use palm tree straw to make hats, fans, dolls and purses. The locals make various items from shells as well. Some people sell shells while others carve them. There are T-shirts and other clothing available.

This was my drop off point for my many visits to Freeport. Lots of restaurants and bars, and shopping if that's your thing

The cutiest little straw market with various things to buy as tourist or locals. There are bars and restaurants around the area and shops and a square with entertainment every evening it's full of touris and a mix with locals. It's your chance to speak to a local in a more relaxed environment. I find Bahamians extremely friendly and helpful

A lot of shops and straw markets. Very few people, tourism off due to hurricane damage and the big hotel there is closed. (No casino.) Loved the "Island Yogurt Shop" , be sure to stop there. And Daddy Brown's Conch Shack was the best! Strawmarket folks a bit pushy as they have a limited number of tourists to sell to.... More
