We found this beach several years ago & was very excited to go back. Unfortunately it was not as remembered. Too much trash, flies & seaweed. It is not being maintained. Not a lot of people there, I'm sure condition is reason.

We had the beach all to ourselves. Be sure to go at low tide to any beach on Grand Bahama. So sad that the Xanadu Hotel, once the most luxurious in the Caribbean, is now closed. Be sure to buy something from Joy. She is...More

For being in town, this beach is secluded because the Xanadu hotel closed several years ago. Usually the area is absolutely without people, but occasionally a few locals. Some support columns from a loading dock blew in during a hurricane, and have created a nice...More

This is right outside the door of one of the older hotels on the island. The beach is nice and maintained. Its quite and not as long as any of the other beaches on the island. Its worth a day to relax.
