Was on a cruise and took a taxi ($4 per person) directly to the beach, When you arrive there are locals trying to rent you chairs and umbrellas which we did not need and we walked east away from the hotels and found a nice...More

I am throughly disgusted on this trip to Nassau, the garbage has gotten out of hand. This beach is literally a straw beach as those locals who I get are only trying to make a living sell tourists drinks out of coconuts which of course...More

The pictures of Cabbage beach on this site reflect a beach that was completely different than the one my family and I experienced. The locals "thugs" have a major racket of swindling the tourists out of $$$. They lied about accessing Atlantis. Overcharged for the...More

Beach was beautiful! However, it's scary when you first arrive. Many locals, waiting like car salesmen, for tourists to arrive. We were asked over 7 times if we wanted chairs, and that is just going up the hill to the beach. Then more while first...More

We entered just beyond the RIU. The water is absolutely beautiful, I did get pummeled by waves, but it seemed a little less intense in other areas. There are men approaching you constantly for chairs, wave runners, and weed.

people selling things on the beach get to be extra annoying but I had just put in headphones and they mostly left me alone. The waves, and sand were prefect and what i would expect from a tropical beach.

There is nothing thing nicer than walking in the sand on cabbage beach. My favorite time is early morning or evening when it's peaceful. It is about 3 miles if gild n sand and clear blue water. Love it.

Yes- the cabs wait in the road a few yards from the beach and there were lots there when we visited in October. There are plenty of locals selling drinks for a fair price- not too much to eat that I saw, but I'm sure... More
