Junkanoo beach also know as long wharf is a public beach located downtown Nassau. It's very clean and there are lifeguards on duty.

But be warned, this place is full of vendors and tourists from the massive cruise ships that have filled the harbour since the hurricanes decimated many of the other local ports on other islands. The Bahamas have become quite popular as a result. The beach...More

Recently we were fortunate to have two days in Nassau on a cruising vacation. We decided on a beach break and chose Junkanoo because of its proximity to the cruise docks. After running the gamut of the straw market and multitudes of vendors, we strolled...More

Landed on New Providence with the expectation of spending a good amount of time at Junkanoo beach. It was a little bit longer walk to get there than I was expecting from other reviews. But arriving to the beautiful water and lovely beach was great....More

Took a short walk from the cruise port. A guy tried to sell us some packages but we declined and just sat on our towels. We went early so it wasn’t too busy. The water was great, super clear. Would go again if in Nassau.

I liked this local beach because it's pretty with the view of the lighthouse in the distance and the crystal blue water. It's a relaxing spot to take a swim and relax on the beach. I also liked that all of the Fish-fry stands/restaurants and...More

If you’re looking for a beautiful beach, do not go there! Stepped off at the beach and left immediately with thinking ‘ I have not travelled all this way for this’ and found a beautiful spot at Cable beach. If you’re not fussed about sandy...More

Worst beach ever! Opted to walk into town and to local beach rather than do an excursion. Big mistake. Small, dirty, litter, noisy constructiion site nearby. No paradise here! Our cruise ship stopped at Nassau last-minute due to bad weather at our original port. Would...More

We visited from the cruise ship we were on, and as it's a public beach, I don't think it would be included with any all inclusive package, but it's worth going to visit for the day!!
