Beautiful view

We did not go in, this was part of the Foodie Tour. The History was very interesting and the view of the city amazing. Would have liked to have gone back when we had more time.

Interesting if you are into architecture and the history of a place. I went to have a look on break from a seminar that we were doing in the Bahamas. I wish i had, had more time to have a good look about and really soak it up. Worth walking down Bay Street to see this.

Stop 4 on a self-guided walking tour we created for downtown Nassau, Bahamas, while there aboard Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas. Standing outside the official residence of the governor-general of the Bahamas brings to mind several questions. About that Columbus statue -- did he really dress like Jack Sparrow? How much grief did the Duke of Windsor take from... More

This was great to stop and see but nothing that would make me go out of my way to see it again unless someone came that did not get to see it.

There is nothing exciting about this place but take a look. We did not go in and I have no idea if you can. It's in town and takes all of 5 minutes to look at. I bascially just went to see to it to say I saw it. LOL.

While on our walk through Nassau we passed by the government house. It is a pink colonial style home. A lot of the homes and buildings throughout the Caribbean are very vibrant colours or pastels so it's no surprise a government build would be. There is a statue of Christopher Columbus out front of the building paying tribute to him... More

Do stop by. Beautiful building. Touch of class. You'll find it flooded with tourist whenever there new cruise ship arrives. Check out the traffic police officers in their well polished white outfits.
