Having taken cruise excursions to the Bahamas before, I was wanting to do something different and decided to arrange a private tour. After some research, I settled on Simons Transport. Our driver Civian met us outside the gate and whisked us away. He was very knowledgeable and shared many facts and tidbits about the area and culture. He was professional yet fun and engaging to be around and he accommodated changes to our schedule we requested. The SUV was clean and easily accommodated the 4 of us, we had plenty of room to stretch out. We requested lunch and he took us to a restaurant called Twin Brothers which had a nice variety of food and good service. Civian is a rock star and he took very good care of us, we had a memorable Bahamas trip. Simon's Transport is a reliable transport company and the communication with the front office was excellent, all e-mails were promptly answered.
A tip for cruise ship passengers, you will need to have your phone with you and on so the driver or office can contact you. When we came into port, two additional cruise ships had docked with us, so there was a HUGE influx of people at once. Our driver was there and he had a tablet with my name on it but we had crossed paths and missed each other. I was trying to not incur any roaming charges but because of the many people in the area, I had to turn on my phone and I ended up contacting the office who then coordinated our locations and got us on our way.
