My boyfriend and I came here on a Monday. We realized it was similar to Fort Charlotte so we decided to just walk around instead of going into the fort and spend time on the beach. We loved Montagu beach so much we came back...More

This is a great hidden beach where you get a feel for where locals go! The beach is safe; any place where the local moms bring their kids after a day of school has to be pretty safe. On weekdays, the beach is never crowded,...More

I lived in Nassau for many years in the 80's and 90's and this area was very undesirable. They have done a nice job with it. There are several small beach and swimming areas, trees, and a lovely view of the eastern end of Nassau...More

We came here and it was just average. The beach close by was also just average. There are no amenities here, so bring your own stuff.

We stopped at Fort Montagu by accident. But it was a good find. We went over to Montagu Beach to purchase fresh from the local fishermen. That was a great deal to purchase fresh fish from the local fishermen at a reasonable price. Roughly $20...More

We stopped here for about 15 minutes during our tour of the island. The gentleman there was very knowledgeable about the fort and how it played a role in Nassau's history. It was worth the stop.

Fort Montagu is located on a very nice stretch of beach in Nassau. We enjoyed our visit. There was a guide who told us the history of the fort and really added to our enjoyment of the attraction.

It could be pretty cool, but it was closed when I went there. Still interesting to look at from the outside, but all of the informative information was on the inside so It was a shame.

Take a jitney for $1 cash down Bay Street. It's a 5-minute ride. I used the jitney to get to my hotel a few blocks farther down the street. The trip back may be a little longer, because of how Bay Street is one-way in... More
