In April 2022 we hiked to Honeymoon via the Upper Lind Point trail. The beach was pretty small and quiet, with only a few other groups of people there. The beach had no amenities available (including restrooms) when we visited because VI Ecotours had their beach bar, rental shop, and cabanas closed due to unexpected repairs. There are lots of loose beach chairs laying around, but VI Ecotours employees come through hourly to make sure people aren’t using them.

While Honeymoon Beach itself is beautiful, it doesn’t compare to the larger North Shore beaches with more amenities (e.g, Cinnamon and Trunk). This could totally change whenever things open back up. However, if you’re looking for a quiet beach that you can reach on foot from Cruz Bay, definitely check Honeymoon out!

We love this beach! The snorkeling is great. The water is clear fish can be seen close to shore. We were here a year ago and we’ were aware of the walk. It is rocky and hiking sandals work best. We were surprised the restaurant and all facilities were closed. Most of the crowd seem to come by boat.

Perfect picturesque beach, it is a must see if you are on St. John and don’t mind hiking to the beach. Great for snorkeling many fish and rays, and Adirondack chairs and lounge chairs for public it takes a little effort though. Not for immobile or elderly and it probably would be good to have a pair of sneakers to hike up and down the trail. ( we had sandals and flip flops) I highly recommend and well worth the effort!

Nightmare to get there! It’s at least a mile to over a mile and a half to get there through treacherous terrain. You need hiking shoes or sneakers to get there. The access and beach services are currently closed. Beach is small once you get there. Water is pretty.

We ventured to Honeymoon Beach when we were on St. John. We heard it was a “short walk” so we wanted to check it out. I’ll start by saying we were not prepared for the very uneven, rocky, long path to and from the beach. We didn’t have proper shoes, water, etc. so it was a little rough for us as it was more of a hike in my opinion. If we had those items, it wouldn’t have been so bad. It was busier than expected, there were no bathrooms there, no changing areas there, and what looked to be a little bar there was closed. The view was pretty. We did it because we we were on our honeymoon and thought it would be cute, but we stayed a short while. If you’re prepared, go there and then Salomon beach as well and you and see 2 pretty beaches in one hike!

Probably the most commercial beach in St John. Close to town. You either have to hike in or take the shuttle( $10 round trip) from the parking lot. Lots of water activities and cabanas, and chairs for rent. Nice little restaurant area with good food and drinks. Great place to sit and enjoy the view to St Thomas.

Beautiful beach with great views. Full restaurant and bar. I'd recommend a cabana for the day if you have a family or small group.

the water was clear, there was room on the beach for us, and people kept to themselves. It wasn't too touristy.

Had a great day here with our group of 8. Used all the equipment, and “C” and her staff John and Chris took such great care of us. Doing the cabana is definitely the way to go. Great day
