Another Beautiful Beach on St. John! Not too crowded...The water, view and beach was wonderful. Plus it was my birthday so it was extra special. The snorkeling was great too. I saw some really cool pelicans while chilling in the water too. Actually one almost hit my head. The guys saw turtles while snorkeling.

We had planned to go to Leinster/Waterlemon ,but it was blowing a bit of a current this morning so headed to Maho instead. We arrived at 10am. Walked to right of center area and headed straight out to middle of the bay. Saw 7 turtles, some w there attached "remora fish" . We then headed to right side rocks and... More

This is a great and easy snorkel. In the center grassy area we saw many sea turtles and rays, and the rocks along the right shore provide a lovely reef with nice coral and an abundance of fish, especially those wonderful clouds of little silver-blue fish that swim in great schools. The bay is protected, so it's an easy swim.... More

This was really a no fail beach. It was long, beautiful, and calm with variable grassy areas. Lots of room to spread out and find a shady spot. This was a great spot to get comfortable with our paddleboard and enjoy the afternoon.

Trunk bay may be the prettiest, but when I pass away throw my ashes in the stew of Maho bay, and let me be at peace with the fish and sea turtles, sting rays and all of god's creatures forever.

Spent Easter week in St. John and this was our favorite beach. Parking very close, lots of shade and no cruise people to suck up space.

I live in St John during the winter. Two of my grandchildren live there year round.Other grandchildren visit. This is a lovely sandy beach with a very gentle access to the water. There is no drop off at all.Because of this there are children here most days. This is not as quiet a beach as most St John beaches. It is by no means raucous... Beautiful Beach but has no facilities. However keeps the crowds away! A little farther from town but still worth seeing it. Cab was $8 per person.

You have a nice beach here. Snorkeling is so,so. Turtles are awesome. If time is limited and snorkeling is your thing pick a different beach like hawksnest, honeymoon, or Leinster.
