This beach is a must. Long, with powder sand. Restrooms and shelter house open. Go early, it fills up fast.

Can’t decide between this and trunk bay as our favorite St. John beach—good snorkeling and nice sandy beaches.

It’s Free! It’s beautiful and it’s not a white rocky beach. Oh, it has SHADE!! If you are coming with a family this spot had everything but food. It does have parking and bathrooms. The water is crystal clear and it’s not super over populated!...More

Difficult water access. First stop on the beach truck route. Limited parking. Continue ahead for Trunk Bay

Close to town and the ferry, far less crowded than many of the other beaches. No admission and the hurricane damage isn't as severe as many of the other beaches. If you want a beach close to the ferry port and less crowded than most,...More

This is one of the better beaches as far as hurricane damage is concerned. We showed up around 11 am and had to park on the side of the road, so get there kind of early if you need the lot parking. There is plenty...More

This is one of the best beaches. They have tables so you can have lunch and shade. The taxis all go here so it is easy to get to. This is one of our favorite beaches.

Good family beach with facilities, good parking and shade. The beach is in good shape and most trees survived the Hurricanes. The snorkeling is ok on the west side of the beach.

Took my teens to Hawksnest Beach for an enjoyable afternoon. Plenty of parking, and room to spread out giving space between beach goers. Shade still available from trees that made it through the storm, and some park shelters still standing. Found plenty of trash cans,...More

Easy to reach the water from parking. Sand and water very nice. Much of the shade was destroyed so brings big umbrellas.
