Maho is nice, with a long, thin strip of sandy beach. The water, however, is shallow for a good way out, so lounging right in the waves is incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. Some snorkeling around the edges, but probably not my optimal place for anything but relaxing.

We went there one day on our week trip to St john. We saw several turtles and rays there. Really beautiful beach.

We spent an afternoon at Maho Beach while attempting to dodge the cruise ship crowds at Trunk and Cinnamon. So glad we did! It was just as beautiful as the others, with great snorkeling as well!

Just love this beach!!! Would go here vs Trunk any day!! Our favorite spot is near the far end where the pavilions are located....there are beautiful palms that stretch over the water for great photo opps and provide shade too. Always turtles here if you want to snorkel. Just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

Great swimming beach with a bit of ok snorkeling on the right side by the rocks and around the point. Long shallow shelf and gentle waves makes a great children's beach.

Don't be turned off by the cars zipping by on the road. This little spot is excellent for snorkeling and seeing some marine life. We spotted several turtles, numerous colorful fish, and even a nurse shark just swimming by. No, they're not aggressive.
