Visited here from a cruise ship-we docked at St Thomas and found out 5 other ships were also going to be there, so thought we should go to St John to get away from the crowds-glad we did! We are more of an adventurous fam,...More

Salomon Beach is in a short walking distance from Cruz Bay. It is a smallish but cozy spot to relax, swim, and admire the underwater life. We visited it several times, occasionally we were the only people there! You can find shady spots as well...More

My husband & I wanted a day at the beach without spending lots of $$ on a taxi! Heard we could take the trail to Solomon Beach and Honeymoon Beach. Nice hike but pretty muddy and slippery in spots ... be careful! When we got...More

It's an uninteresting hike on the Lind Point Trail to a fabulous white sandy beach. I was completely alone on a Saturday morning. A few people showed up just before midday as I was packing up to leave. You'll find the trailhead for the Lind...More

This is my 2nd review to do on this beach. We have been back to St John's (and this beach) many times since my original review. I truly believe Salomon Beach is still one of the best, and often overlooked, beaches on St John. It...More

Great, secluded little beach that you can only access by foot or by boat. While it's a "public" beach, not very many people take the time & effort to get there.

We walked from Cruz Bay Ferry to Salomon Beach. The trailhead is by the Historical Museum. It's about a mile or so on the trail. We took the upper trail and got a great view of the bay at the lookout spot. There were only...More

So if you don't mind hiking a few miles on a fairly easy, but wooded path from Cruz bay or Caneel Bay, this little beach is what you would imagine a "Hidden Beach" to be. No facilities, bring everything you need. Caneel Bay resort is...More

I see some comments about the hike being too long but it's really not far at all. Because of the location, it can get a little rough but it's so pretty that it's worth the effort.

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
What would be the closest taxi drop off to Salomon Beach? Wanted to limit our hike to the shortest possible Is there a point on N Shore Road that would have a walking trail instead of walking from the visitors center?

When we were there, people did come to beach from a different trail and they said it was off the road. You will have to ask a local. Sorry I'm not much help!
