They say they are open when the ships are in, but that is not always true. When I was able to get in one Sunday in 2016, it was interesting. Trying with guests several times in 2018 and 2019, no one was there.

This place was closed. Very disappointed. Really wanted to see Blackbeard's Castle. Beware, It is closed.

Well... it's still closed. It would have been nice to have some notice of that before walking up the hill from the bay.

If you make it to the top of 99 Steps it worth a short side trip. You can still view the stone tower and the statue of the three women. Also keep an eye out for the many iguanas rooming the parking lot. Unfortunately there...More

You can climb the hill and see the outside but it is not repaired from the hurricanes.The castle and tower are reminders of the history of St Thomas but not available for touring at this time.

damage wasn't too bad across the island. looks like it is fully recovered. but blackbeard's castle was just closed for repairs without any warnings or signage. a bit poor.
