My husband and I visited on our last day there and it was very neat. It was a little confusing to get to but we made it. The staff was very nice and the "pirate" who gave us the history of Blackbeard was super nice...More

We are on a cruise and this was part of an excursion we went on today. Tony the Pirate was both entertaining and informative and the sweet wonderful lady at Hotel 1829 showed me a great photo op and guided me to the perfect spot...More

There are a lot of pirate related information, not just blackbeard. There were several areas of steps to additional information and displays.

Definitely not worth the money. I took a trip up on Sunday when they were closed to sneak a peak and that worked just fine. Nothing crazy to see here but the statue and castle. Let me tell you it is a hike up the...More

A great way to spend some time with the family and see a 360° view of Charlotte Amalie from the Pirates tower. The largest selections of rum that We found on the islands and they are very generous with the sampling of them.

Took time to make a quick stop in the evening, beautiful view. There are a few restaurants but we had eaten before we got there. We spent about an hour.

The taxi to the top cost us $4 per person. Considering what I paid for the cruise...my wallet opened up pretty quick for that! At the end of the "tour" you end up at the bottom of the hill about a 5 minute walk from the... More

It depends on which dock and which cruise line. We were on the Royal Caribbean "Oasis of the Seas" and for me a street bus was the answer. They have buses built on Ford truck bodies that carry about 20 people and charge a... More
