The house/museum is only open Wednesdays and Saturday, with limited hours. The phone number shown on their web site is no longer active. We went out on a Saturday and they were in fact "open". Meaning that you could drive in. All the shutters on...More

Old Danish castle ranch from 1800 period. The main house still looks like it did then, with the old furniture, kitchen and garden. Open wednesday and saturdays.

It is nearly impossible to find out when this museum and grounds are open. Even their answering machine apologizes for their poor telephone reception but does not give their opening times...bizarre. They are open Wednesday and Saturday, 11 to 4 pm. Do not believe the...More

I visited the Farm and Museum this past weekend while on St. Croix. The property is stunning and the home is in great condition. It brings you back to a different way of life on St. Croix.

We went to the museum and we got a really enterresting tour. We Heard stories about the familly, and the museum told really much about the time. and with a sweet guide :) And the

We had a wonderful guided tour of the house and the surroundings which really gave insight into the life of the Lawaetz family on the farm.

These were the original founders of St. Croix and they have preserved the land and sell fresh everything from eggs to vegetables every day. It's actually very interesting to see the memorial site where the first was born in the 1800...

We loved the person guiding the tour. There is authentic furniture from the time the Danes owned and occupied the island.

We truly enjoyed our visit of the Lawaetz House, museum and grounds. Our tour guide, Delores, did an outstanding job and was very knowledgeable on the family and Danish history. Beautiful gardens which had recently been manicured.

Hi, did not see your question. Sorry. From Frederkssted it's not that long. Maybe 20 minuttes. But from Chrstiansted it will take narly hour because its on a sideroad. Enjoy!
