Description:

The Cruzan Rum Distillery welcomes you to come visit our "Don't...

The Cruzan Rum Distillery welcomes you to come visit our "Don't Hurry" atmosphere. Learn how to create delicious cocktails and relax island style! The Visitors' Pavilion houses the Gift Shop & Rum Boutique, in addition to our tasting bar. This guided walking tour takes you on the aromatic journey of turning molasses into rum at the only still functioning historic distillery site in the Virgin Islands.

This is an outdoor walking tour that requires climbing stairs and possible uneven walking surfaces. We try to run our tours in either rain or shine, so be prepared for the weather conditions of the day. No matter the weather conditions, guests of legal drinking age will be rewarded with 2 sample cocktails at the conclusion of the tour.

Low Season (May - October) hours are 9 - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, and 10 - 2 pm on Saturdays. We are open on Sundays, 10 - 2 pm, when a cruise ship is in port. During High Season we open every Sunday. Tours leave every 30 minutes from the top of the hour. The last tour departs an hour before closing. Cash is not accepted, so please bring your Visa, Mastercard, or Discover Card.

Do hurry to the Don't Hurry!

We went with some locals and instantly made friends with the others who were there when we were. Interesting history of rum making on the island, plus lots of rum to sample. Jason, our tour guide, was great! Definitely recommend.

We've actually been to Cruzan twice since we've been here. We stopped in once when we were lost and saw the sign (and you'll get lost here a lot if you're driving). It happened to be a Saturday, but they were open and welcoming. They told us that they weren't actively distilling on weekends, but would do the tour anyway... More

Like the title says, stop. I am not a big rum drinker, but their single barrel rum is terrific. My wife and I did the tour and enjoyed it. Our tour was made better by the best tour guide Wilson (last name, but that what he asked us to call him). He was both informative and funny. If you can... More

Abigail provided a fun, enthusiastic and informative tour of this historic rum distillery, and free samples and cocktails at the end! She geared the tour to all ages (we had quite a few children on out tour), and effectively answered the many questions from the group. I was a little disappointed that they weren't actually making any rum that day,... More

Abbigail was our guide and she knew so much info it was wonderful. We were particularly impressed with the plantation feel of the distillery. Like it's just chilling in time and in no hurry to turn into a factory. Loved seeing every aspect and understanding what exactly happens. She took the time to show us everything up close and personal... More

The cruzan rum distillery offers an excellent tour of the making of the rum from beginning to end. Also, the tour includes rum taste of the different rum flavors.

We recently vacation in St Croix for a week, we did the Cruzan Rum tour and had a great time. Shelly our guide did a great job. It was fascinating to see how they made the rum. The barrels are aged in large warehouses on location. They drain the barrels the old fashion way by rolling them over a drain... More

I'd enjoyed the tour of the ultra-modern Captain Morgan distillery (which looks, to be honest, a lot like the cover of the Alan Parsons Project's "Ammonia Avenue" album), but ran into a couple who said that Cruzan was much better. How right they were! They do things the old fashioned way at Cruzan, and explain it to you carefully, with... More

Our "rain day" on the island compelled us to tour both Captain Morgan and Cruzan on the same day....had to find some way to cope. Hands down, Cruzan is the best. CM felt like you would expect....new, pretty, corporate....and full of rum..not bad. At Cruzan, from the man at the guard house when you drive up to EVERYONE you encounter... More
