Small easy to tour, well restored, Offers nice views of the bay and harbor. The NPS staff was very friendly and helpful. Can self tour the fort in a 1/2 hour or so. Low cost as well.

Worth a stop. You can tour the old fort and see some lovely ocean views. We took the self-guided tour. The history was interesting, and the Park Service folks on site were very helpful.

Lovely setting. Well presented. But the fort never fought anyone. So its drama factor is way low. Well worth the few dollars admission, but did not inspire much further research.

Interesting history of the area and fort built by Denmark in mid 1700s. I recommend visiting the fort, max 1 hour to explore.

We took the self-tour and were amazed at how well-preserved this was. While in the rooms for prisoners, you can imagine how it felt with the barred windows looking out to sea and feel the desperation in those who were locked away for whatever reason....More

The Fort is well preserved and most areas (like the dungeon) were open to enter or view. The upper levels offer fantastic views of the area.

This was a nice visit. We enjoyed the fort and the history. The ticket was also supposed to be for the church but it wasn't open. I do wish that maybe they could provide a historic walking tour map to go with the fort visit.

A cost is listed at the entrance, but at the time we were there no one was working! I don't remember how much.

Yes, the story is in the Fort, and there is information also on a wall in the customs building across the street, where the information booth is. Quite an interesting story of young Alexander Hamilton! Much of the story... More
