Very beautiful beach for an afternoon. This is only open on weekends due to the nesting area for turtles. We didn't see any and the beach is mostly for swimming and not much for snorkeling. There are no facilities so plan the bathroom and necessities in advance. There is no shade so bring and umbrella or good sunscreen. A nice... More

Wow wow and wow. I am so glad I researched when this beach would be open, if we could have, we would have gone back everyday we were in St. Croix. Miles of white sand, calm water (break is a little rough) and stunning photo ops. Hardly any people around and you can pick your spot and not be disturbed.... More

The long white sand beach reminded me of the Outer Banks in North Carolina. It is an unspoiled/undeveloped beach with literally hundreds of turtle nesting sites, some active. We saw dozens of tiny turtle prints in the sand from two separate nests that had hatched out, apparently the previous night. There are two ways in: dirt road from the west... More

This beach has silky soft sand, incredibly clear water and is rarely crowded. Only downside is there is no shade, but we could stay out the water so it didn't matter! Even saw dolphins! Highly recommend.

Three beach areas, but only open on weekends (or when cruise ships in port). Also closed during turtle nesting season. We were there early (10:00 am) on a Saturday and only a few folks were around. Easy to find a quiet place on the beach - but no facilities (restrooms/concessions/etc)

This is place to go for a great beach. There is nothing here but the beach. It is spectacular. Almost 3 miles from end to end. Gentle slope great for walking. The two days we were ther had different wave conditions. One almost calm the other with 2 to 3 foot waves. You can wade out a long way and... More

When we visited, it was too rough to swim, and the water drops off really quickly, so could only lay on the beach. Beautiful sand and view, if that's your thing, but I like to swim and snorkel so was suboptimal. Interesting fact though, this is where the final scene in the film Shawshank Redemption was filmed. Yeah, not Mexico!

Excellent beach! The sand and water are heavenly. We went both Saturday and Sunday. It was somewhat crowded on Saturday, but crowded for St. Croix is like 20-30 people. There was plenty of room on the beach still. There isn't much snorkeling here; it's more of a relax and swim beach. We loved it!

Lovely swim (may want water shoes for the flat coral reef) Pubic Pool nearby but closed, and it was Sunday - we weren't sure why. Picnic tables, but no lounge chairs - bring your own. Same with picnic. It's the beach in the final scene of the movie "Shawshank Redemption." Read up on it to learn more.
