You need a four-wheel-drive vehicle to get here, but it's well worth the trip to this scenic and secluded beach, perfect for swimming, and a barrier reef for snorkeling.

My wife and I visited St. Croix for 3 of the past 4 years, and this hike was on my bucket list. Finally did it; we hiked down to Isaac Bay beach, but didn't continue to Jack's. The hike was much easier than I expected, good trail, not too steep, fairly well maintained. Perfect day for this desert hike---overcast and... More

Lots of solitude if that is important to you. Lots of evidence of turtle activity although we didnt see any. Absolutely beautiful beach, limited shade, bring lots of water to drink and sunscreen. Snorkeling was probably less than expected throughout the island and the same here, the coral was pretty damaged and fish were sparse.

worth the hike down to this beach. You will be the only one around. Take your snorkel gear. The coral reef is in fairly shallow water, and the sea is a little choppy here as a result, so be cautious of the currents. Wear a rash guard, as getting shoved into the coral by a rogue wave is definitely not... More

We went to Point Udall and hiked down the trail to Isaac Bay. The trail IS NOT for the faint of heart, it was exercise and I strongly recommend water, good hiking shoes, and a good 30 minutes to get to the bay. Once at the bay the water was beautiful and crystal clear. We saw a lot of marine... More

The hike out can be hot and it is a bit hilly, but it's not that long or hard. It is well worth the trip if you can make it. My family visited 3 times while on the island and more often than not we were the only ones on the beach. It is truly amazing. We snorkeled from the... More

Beautiful hike to beach area. Hike was moderate an only took 30 minutes. The views were spectacular. Heard that snorkeling was good but did not have time.

The trailhead is near Pt. Udall. It's a popular place for car windows to get busted out, so leave your car unlocked and take your valuables with you. Also bring drinking water and snorkel gear, because you'll be ready for a swim when you get to the bottom, and you won't want to miss the underwater sights, like eagle rays... More

Took a drive out to Point Udall to see the Easternmost point of the United States and then parked to make the short hike to Isaac Bay. I think they said it's about a half mile hike on a dirt path, wasn't bad. Keep in mind that since this beach is quite secluded you may see people out there without... More

We hiked the trails from the pull off just below Point Udall down to Isaac Bay and took a dip before continuing on to Jacks Bay, and Horseshoe Bay. Super trail with solitude and beautiful vistas! From deserted white sand beaches to waves crashing 1/2 way up 50 ft cliffs, and cactus towering over us as we hiked it was... More

I am hesitant to write the review as we like to keep things like this to ourselves, but this is seriously one magnificent beach in which you could potentially have it all to yourself. Last Saturday we shared the half-mile long beach with one other couple.
