Went in 2015. Snorkeling was so amazing with the fish and beautiful coral. An underwater camera is a must in my opinion.

All 12 family members tried the half-day snorkel trip. We went with Big Beard's and weren't sorry. The crew was welcoming and tried hard to "Party us up". It was a smooth, quick trip on their catamaran. We spent the first half of the visit...More

We went on Caribbean Adventures which was easy to book via phone. Note that the snorkel trail is a great trail but the reefs sustained quite a bit of damage. The only corals left are brain and tubes. There was no color and very little...More

Headed out to buck island for a day trip. The first time since Hurricane Maria. The sand has shifted making a entirely new beach side on the north of the island. Snorkeling was extremely good, with great visability. The corals took some damage, but still...More

The reef has fewer fish on it this year, probably due to last year's hurricane, but the real reason to come here are the huge corals. These are some of the biggest brain corals I've ever seen. A lot of parrot fish, tangs, and other...More

We used the Caribbean Sea Adventures to go snorkel Buck Island and it was fantastic! The first trip was with two very knowledgeable and personable young ladies who made the trip entertaining, educational, and all around enjoyable! One of the ladies patiently pulled myself along...More

If you don’t do anything else in St. Croix make sure you go snorkeling at Buck Island. This is a beautiful area to look at the beautiful reef and all the different fish.

We used Big Beards adventures. Should be able to book through the ship or Viator ahead of time. Great adventure!

The beach is lovely but when you go on the excursions you don't stay on it very long. Just to practice snorkeling and then they sail to the reef.
