Depending on the day of the week
We came here on a Sunday so the small beach was packed. Lots of people taking pictures- especially lying on a clear float - via drone cameras. Come during the week if you want a less commercial experience. The entrance is easy to miss from the road- only a very short walk.

    Our favorite beach to swim
This was our favorite beach on the island for swimming. The water was perfectly clear and calm. There is no undertow and it's perfect for kids to swim and play in the sand. We thought the water here was much nicer than on Grace Beach (which had a lot of seaweed/sea grass and a strong current). We parked on the side of the road, near the sign for Sapodilla Beach. We brought our own sand chairs and umbrella. They had chairs and umbrellas to rent at the opening to the beach. We had to go a little way down the beach to find a free area that didn't have chairs set up from the villas that were along the beach or from the rental vendors. There was some trash on the beach, although I thought the sand was still cleaner than Grace Beach. There were also vendors trying to rent jet skis. I think it was $90 for a 30-minute ride. We didn't do it, but we were asked three times. Still, we didn't feel too harassed. There was a bar setup and a vendor with a grill for burgers, etc. We didn't end up ordering food and left around lunchtime to go back to our hotel to eat. This is a great beach for families and to swim. It felt almost like swimming in a pool. I swam all the way to the rope/buoys and felt safe doing so.

    Best beach in Provo!
Beautiful little bay, soft sand and clear calm water. We thought we’d stumbled on the jewel of the island, I liked it much better than Grace Bay beach! The East access is a lot calmer with more parking than the west side of the beach, and the west access has food and drink stands. Perfect for just floating or relaxing in the sand, also nice easy snorkeling nearby. Watch out for boats and jet skis.

When the water is so blue...
This beach was absolutely gorgeous. I live around beaches, so it takes a lot to impress me but this beach along with others in Providenciales elevated any experience I thought I had. The blue to turquoise water was so beautiful and the temperature was very relaxing. The beach was very clean and not overpopulated. I will definitely go again.

    Different than Grace Bay
Dream beach, different colors than Grace Bay, great for Kids. You can buy food and drinks on the beach from vendors or if you want a restaurant, we ate at Las Brisas the most deliciuos food in Provo. When was windy on Grace Bay here was no wind. Beautiful sunsets!

Lots of people , no shade. Jet skis available to rent @ $100 for a half hour. Umbrellas and lounge chairs available for rent. Drinks available to purchase. If there’s no parking, Las Brisas restaurant charges $3 for parking.

My husband and I enjoyed the beauty of the beach. Gorgeous water and nice and calm. We rented a jet ski from the booth on the beach. About 20 minutes after returning our jet ski, the worker came over and accused us of damaging the jet ski. We assured him that we didn’t ( in fact, I kept telling my husband to slow down and we ended up just doing some casual riding). The worker came over twice more, along with his boss, to accuse us again. I would recommend if you rent a jet ski to take pictures of it before going out so they cannot come back and accuse you of something you didn’t do.

We spent two days here as the bay blocks the wind and waves and makes for a fun and relaxing day in the sun. You can rent jet skis or go tubbing from here, there is also chair and umbrella rentals. You can walk down and walk on the pier or look just sit and relax.

We got some amazing jerk chicken from Jerome! He was a sweetheart and made the best mac and cheese I had on this trip.

You can walk for quite a distance and the water only gets waist deep. Also one of the most amazing sunsets of our trip was from here.

Perfect beach for anyone, but especially if you have little kids. It’s so nice to be able to walk out a long length at shallow (yet still crystal clear) waters. It’s a bay so there were minimal waves. I felt more at ease to let my kids play with a lot less anxiety than at Grace Bay.

It was about a 15 min drive from the Grace Bay area (we stayed at Alexandra Resort). Go down South Dock Road about 3 mi, turn right on Chalk Sound Road. There are two parking areas/entrances. First is a dirt road after a telephone pole pretty soon after you turn right onto Chalk Sound Road. The other is after you pass Las Brisas on the right. Recommend the latter.

Plenty of vendors selling drinks and food. Music was great - they were bumping 90s/early 2000s music so I was in my element.

Bring your own umbrellas/chairs/blankets if you can. Someone tried to sell my husband use of two chairs for $80 at the parking area, but he was able to get the same for $30 on the beach.

Some tour boats will come close to the beach to drop off passengers.

It’s totally worth renting a car to visit this beach. I think we spent no more than $100 for a mid size and the company outfitted it with a car seat and booster seat for my kids.

Smallish beach on the most beautiful ocean views. Shallow entry with gradual increase in depth that is perfect for kids and adults alike. Lots of beach vendors that were courteous but probably should be limited in numbers allowed at any given time.

Small but beautiful, clear, turquoise water at this beach made it one of my favs. Not a ton of parking but get here before 10am or pay the $3 for parking at Las Brisas. A few vendors but nothing too annoying at all. As a matter of fact, it was perfect for the size beach. One or two with food, a few were bars and the others were for beach chair/umbrella rental and jet ski rental. A little shallow in the sand area so you will have to walk down a little to find a spot to spread out. Lots of chairs are out that belong to villas that line the beach (some of these homes were a little too close to the sand for my comfort but that's a shame for them not for us visitors) and others that you have to pay to rent. Do beware though, two of my friends I am pretty sure were stung by something (my guess is jellyfish) but nothing to serious at all, just a little sting pain that went away about 30 mins later...it is the ocean after all. Plan to come early, have lunch there or walk over to Las Brisas then head home wherever that may be :)

This was our favorite beach on the island! It’s incredibly beautiful with turquoise water and white sand. The water temp is also very warm because it is soooooo shallow! You can sit in the water all day and enjoy a drink. The one thing we didn’t enjoy about the beach is one of the guys, Anthony, who owns a bar on the beach. He is very nice until you start buying food, drinks or anything from the other vendors. He only has rum and we wanted a smoothie and once we did that, he glared at us, passively aggressively made rude comments to us (just loud enough for us to hear), and acted like a 5 year old pouting like a little baby. It actually ruined our day because he was so horrible. I would avoid him and his stand at all cost until he grows up and starts acting like an adult. All the other vendors are wonderful and make great drinks and food! Highly recommend this beach- it’s a must see!

Spent part of our morning exploring Chalk Sound then headed for the water. Parking was a little challenging on the street but we found a spot once we found the pathway to the beach. Rented two chaise lounges and an umbrella for $35 (good for the whole day) - well worth it as there is no shade. Water is very clear and calm and not very deep for quite a ways out. We brought our lunch and beverages. Bottles of beer were $5 each which is pretty expensive. Quiet, relaxing, beautiful ...

Sapodilla bay is the best for families and young kids given the shallow, gentle waters. Juicy Juicy Burgers shack on the beach is our go-to for amazing, fresh, tasty drinks - highly recommend then piña colada for $15 an absolute bargain! The jerk chicken here is also very tasty and fairly priced! The owners Gio and his wife are the best, making us feel welcome and providing some of the best hospitality on the island. This place has everything you could want and more.

The view, water and sand are spectacular. I prefer this beach to the beaches on the north side. However, you need to bring you own chairs or towels to escape the noise from the vendors at the entrance to the beach. Two vendors, 50' apart and directly behind the rental chairs, both play their music at the same time as loud as they can. It becomes almost hard to talk at times. I would love it if one of them turned it way down and played reggae in the background. That's what we come to hear in the Caribbean, not 90s pop music or old rap and definitely not competing with each other at the same time. House of Pain isn't really a Carib experience! We payed $10/each for chairs and $20 for an umbrella. Denise made great Pina Coladas as well. You can park in the lot across from the entrance, you just need a high clearance vehicle since the drop to the lot is pretty significant. Others simply parked along the road. Parking was never an issue.
