Fantastic views of Port of Spain. It is not closed because of restoration works, but people on site allowed us to access for the views, and that worth the tricky road until the Fort.

Ruins of sn old fort on top of a hill close to Port of Spain. The road to get there is small and a real challenge. But the views of the city, the bay and surrounding area are amazing. Even if it starts raining the view of the city is espectacular

Fort George was built in 1804. There is not a lot to see at the actual fort, but the views of the city from the fort are superb. Walk around an see the cannons and admire the magnificent views.

On a sunny Saturday morning I decided to hike from Courtyard Marriott to Fort George. It took me 1.5hr walking up there and I was well rewarded with the gorgeous view of the city even though it’s getting windy and cloudy. There’s hardly any other visitor when I spent almost 2 hours enjoying the solitude and having a video call with my kids back home. Don’t forget to put on sunscreen if you plan to sit there for picnic. I got sunburn even on that partially cloudy day.

Nice and quiet on a Sunday - not too interesting as there isn't much to see - just a building and that's basically it. still worth going for the view.

Super views, the drive up is exciting. Lots to read & see about the history. You can see the Savannah and sea views and much more. Take drinks and snacks or a picnic.

One of the sites in Trinidad that i always heard of but never visited. Finally decided to make that trip .. worth every moment of it.So peaceful tranquil with a breathtaking view.. Grounds are well maintained benches to relax and take the view ... didnt stay till sunset but im sure that would have been a site to see.. road to the fort is a bit narrow, but expected ,not busy tho.All in all trip was great..

Even though the winding tiny narrow road up and down the mountain is one of the most dangerous roads in Trinidad, once up there, it is totally worth it!

It only took 10 minutes from the bottom to the top, and the grounds are well kept and preserved. The cannons are still there over looking the city. The house is beautiful, and the tiny prison that was only used to keep important documents and not prisoners was pretty cool!

In Tobago there are limited places to visit if you are interested in history and want a break from being on the beach.
This is certainly something to consider.

the fort is a historical site with great views of the city. You could just sit and admire the beauty that is Trinidad.
