Before entering the Mesopotamia valley we stopped at the Belmont Lookout to look into the valley. It was well worth the few minutes it took to appreciate the views and the richness of the valley and its fertile soil.

We stopped here on our way back from Montreal Gardens . Limited parking available. Trash laying around everywhere. You get a bird's eye view of the valley. It's worth a 5min stop

We stopped here on our tour to through the Mesopotamia Valley. It's right off the road and you step out onto a wooden lookout. The place is very windy but the view is wonderful. When you look over you see crops being planted and lots of green foliage. The Mesopotamia Valley (or Mespo Valley as it is called by the locals) is considered the "breadbasket" of the island as it produces the majority of its crops. When you look over it seems that the area is shaped like a crater. Our guide informed us that there is a legend that says a volcano erupted and fell inwards and created the area. It can be assumed that the volcanic soil from this long ago volcano is the reason for the fertility of the valley.

It is basically a wooden lookout at the side of the road in and area of st vincent you do not want take a wtong turn. If you insist on wasting your time the only route i suggest using is the mesopotamia highway. You can use waze to find the belomont government primary school. It is on the hill and the look out is the large area of the 3way intersection that is at the schools entry way. Look for the railing. Trust me when u arrive you will have the same feeling we did...this is it? Remember i said don't waste your time.

Not a real great view for the length of the drive
Limited view of the ocean, good view of farmland
The view platform looks to be old and possibly not safe in places

This look out gives a very extensive view of the interior of the country. It exposes its viewer to the lush vegetation

Beautiful views of the countryside below. There is a very nice lookout deck and well maintained restrooms. Takes only a few minutes but well worth the drive.

You look out on to the Marriaqua valley which is the food basket of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Great, stunning views. The wind is very relaxing.
