We stay at the Oualie Beach Resort every year usually for 4 weeks. It is a very peaceful pretty bay and a nice beach. The water is calm and the scenery is superb.

Good service very pleasant waitress and bar tender. There are good choices for lunch or dinner. Right by the beach with nice views from the beach and you can see St Kitt.

I hit the wrong button when I wrote the earlier review. I intended the top rating. While I am here, I will also commend the staff of the property. They have always been very accommodating and knowledgeable. They helped me with car rental among other things. Almost a decade of coming to this property, I can hardly wait to return.

Is it the best beach on Nevis? NO!
Is it the prettiest beach out there? CERTAINLY NOT!!
Is it still a great place to spend some time? - FOR SURE!!!

We stayed at the Oualie Beach Resort so we had this beach at our fingertips every day and my best times on it were mornings - where the monkeys would arrive to feed on the flowers growing here on the ground plants and around this beachfront resort, but also in the evening where we could chill with a great Nevisian Rum Punch from the Oualie Restaurant on the spot to a beautiful sunset! Also, the 3 donkeys visited us one evening :)

The beach beds here are for the resort guests but there is a stretch of the beach where locals seem to come - Nevis isn't a crowded island so there is never too many people here nor any other beaches - here there are no jet skies, vendors etc. all you can see is some boats parked and the ferries between St Kitts and Nevis coming/leaving and the nearby pier located on the opposite side of the beach from the Oualie Resort.

Water can be pretty, and when that happens to black and yellow sand beachfront looks pretty cool - it all depends on the waves/currents/wind + day time.

TIP: there is a lot of sea grass, not to confuse with the see weed as the latter smells bad and can't spoil your day to the beach (during our April trip the entire east coast was invaded by it... ) - and you know what sea grass means? You guessed it, turtles! I actually got see one randomly on my 2nd day - just went barely to the water (it's fairly shallow for a long time) and a small turtle was swimming right in front of time along the shoreline

TIP: not sure if there are facilities here since we stayed on the resort's end - but at least the resort's restaurant and bar are available to everyone so that I can confirm and they serve great drinks and fantastic food - see my separate review

Not sure this photo is quite accurate as the sand does not look that golden...but water great for swimming although a bit murky/cloudy when we were there in January 2022

Arguably the nicest beach on an island that has many good beaches. Oualie Beach is very sheltered. The bay is warm with a sandy bottom and no waves at all 90% of the time. Great for children.

We took a water taxi from Reggae Beach to Nevis and they drop you off right next to Oualie Beach (on your left). Do NOT take the ferry as it'll take you 45 minutes on the water. The water taxi is only 5-7 minutes. I digress...

Once there, you MIGHT see one or two other couples. It was perfect AND they have a small place setting behind the beach where you can get drinks and food.

We stayed at the Oualie Beach Resort and loved the quaint old-time Carribean atmosphere. It is definitely not a cookie-cutter high-end resort. The staff is friendly and it is a laid back place where you can really enjoy the peaceful beach without being crowded.
We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Oualie Beach last May 2019. Quiet, relaxing, and clean. The included breakfast was amazing with lots of fresh fruits and juices and great options! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!
