If you visit St. Kitts rent a car for a day or two. Drive to the southern tip of St Kitts via the government built good road. At the southern tip where the Ferry to Nevis docks there is a beautiful beach at Major's Bay. You can park anyplace and enjoy the pristine waters. There is an old sunken barge in the bay and that's it. If you find 4 or5 people on the 1/2 mile long beach that will be a crowded day. Beautiful views of Nevis and total relaxation away from the tourist crowds

Awesome stretch of beach. Although it’s tourist season and weather is perfect, it is not crowded here (I can’t say the same about anywhere else because I don’t know). We got to Shipwreck Beach Bar around 1045 AM on a Saturday and had no problem getting chairs and an umbrella. Carambola was also pretty quiet. I’m attaching pics of both beaches, as well as Discovery Beach and a defunct Godfather Beach bar. Water is perfect, sand is black sand and smooth and clean.

Stopped at a viewpoint to take in the stunning views of Nevis etc.

Not much else to say really, plenty of photo opportunities & the usual crop of locals trying to sell you crap.

As long as you don't mind driving on the wrong side of the road along hairpin turns, this is the place to see. There are beautiful lookouts and the ultimate sunset overlook. There are a few beach bars at the southern end..Salt Plage is the place to go...bring bug spray

Stunning views from hill top. Atlantic Ocean on left and Caribbean on right. Atlantic has more waves.

this is the place for beaches and great views from the hills. The beaches are nice=really liked the black sand beach...also, go see the monkeys as they come down from the mountain and eat in front of you.

We went on a taxi tour over to cockleshell beach from the cruise terminal. Stopped at the lookout on Timothy hill. Definately do this. But arrive early, it's popular.
Definately recommend cockleshell beach too.

Brought here while on a Royal Caribbean International cruise. The tour was called Panoramic St Kitts. We were brought around in a local taxi. Very difficult to see anything. But when he stopped here, we were afforded great views. This is where you will see both the Atlantic and the Caribbean Seas on either side of the peninsula.

You must stop on the way to cockleshell beach!!!
We took a taxi from the cruise port to ref beach. This is literally on the way. Before you leave, ask you driver to stop here for a couple of min so you can take some pictures. Really cool to see!
