It is called skull cave because it is suppose to look like a skull but I did not see that??? Inside where it is dark if you look up with your camera flash you will get a nice picture of the islands bats as they sleep.

We went to several of the caves in cayman brac last week of the year. I loved Skull Cave because if you go into the smaller chamber the entire top of the cave is full of bats. Very cool. The only sad part is that humans have left their marks in some areas by scratching names etc into the rock.... More

Named for the outside view...looks like a skull with hollow eyes and nose. It's was one of four caves we visited. Very cool. Very Easy access. Has the most bats. Interesting "rooms".

We stopped here in a whim after driving around the island. Really cool cave. We woke up a few bats with our flashlights and got some great pictures from inside. Would definitely check out.

Cave at side of road, easy entrance. Take a torch to see the bats hanging from the roof. We visited around 630pm.

A flashlight is recommended for nooks and crannies, wear good shoes and just take water!. This is a good activity for days off diving!

To see the skull the best, just walk across the street. But to,go inside the skull cave, you go up some steep stairs and then step down into the cave. It's pretty neat, but not for bad knees.

Neat cave, spent our afternoon visiting several of the caves Cayman Brac is famous for, enjoyed them all including this one. Officially called Halfway Ground Cave, but better known as Skull Cave due to the obvious resemblance. Easy access, lots of bats in the crevices when we were there.

This cave does look like a Skull from the outside as you look at it before entering it. It is really neat inside and we will we had had a flashlight so we could have gone in further and explored more areas, but what we were able to see was really beautiful.
