Watch the birds fly!

Hundreds of boobys, fly and nest. The observation deck provides a great view of the birds. It is a little smelly but worth it

Simply beautiful, shear wall, white sand shutes, sand flats, great coral heads, fantastic soft coral, and varied tropical fish. Nothing like Bloody Bay Wall !

We went and watched the nesting birds from the free telescopic viewers from the first and second floors. It is a wealth of wildlife and should not be missed! The Museum was quite nice as well and the curator was super friendly.

Took my telephoto lens and hoped for the best. Even used my wide angle. Always wanted a photo of a male frigate bird on the wing for my collection and I got him. It's almost as if he came out of central casting to pose just for me. Now he's mine. Don't know if they are nesting year round, but... More

Little Cayman has no taxis so I rode a bicycle to the Booby Pond Nature Reserve in the afternoon after diving. The pond is not attractive to view - pond scum and some trash in it. The red footed boobies roost there at night so I did not see any on my visits (2). I did, however, get a good... More

I was there in August- maybe other months are better- but to me, this was little more than a swampy, stinky bird sanctuary. (If I was a bird, I'd move!)

Very informative talk with the guy looking after the reserve, about the birds and the wild life on the island.

Spent some time at the reserve and learned a lot about boobys and frigate birds as well. Most importantly one is able to see these magnificent birds from the building on the eastern end of the pond which houses a small "museum" and shop. The volunteers are knowledgeable and pleasant. We had the pleasure of a presentation which was excellent.... More

The overlook by the Visitors Center is ideal and there are lots of birds - mostly nesting in the trees. Be prepared to deal with some very unpleasant odors!!

Booby Pond is a nature reserve, which is the largest nesting place of endangered Red-footed Boobies in whole Caribbean. I decided to visit this area as several of the locals told me that this was a must see on Little Cayman. I am not sure if it was the wrong time of day or wrong time of the year but... More
