This is an awesome beach with some decent snorkeling. Even while standing on the beach, stingrays and schools of fish can be observed. Only drawback is the Westin to its side, which is definitely overdoing it with the beach chairs and water equipment.

This beach was a true gem! It's a 'secret lil spot' seemingly known to locals alone. We miandered down the beach ... low and behold were thrilled with our find! The beach is uncrowded, minimal noise, crystal clear blue water and powdery white sand ......More

We stayed at the Holiday Inn a few miles away on the bay. Since they don't have a good beach area, we drove 5 minutes over to 7 mile beach. However, 7 mile beach is hotel next to hotel and their beaches are reserved for...More

The colour of the water is astonishing!! Just a small portion of seven mile beach, but possibly the best part. Well worth a stop to have a look. Around 100m out there’s a really good reef to snorkel.

The reason for the average review is NO RESTROOM facilities except a very nasty port a potty and only one trash can on the whole beach. Other than this governors is always wonderful. But surely some tables and more trash cans could be put out...More

My airbnb host recommended against this beach because she said it is where all of the tourists get dumped each day by the cruise lines. She was right, but, evidently they all leave between 1-1:30 and it is easy to find secluded spots if you...More

It is a great family beach where locals go with their kids. It is not far from the westin. There are parking spaces available.

We stayed next door at the Westin and it couldn’t have been a more convenient snorkeling location. We rented equipment from red sail sports right there on the beach ($15 for the mask and fins or $7.50 for the mask only, for 24 hours; I...More

Nice parking on the north side of the governor's mansion. Plenty of trees with shade near the parking area and the beach. Sandy beach and easy swimming, but save your snorkeling for another location as we found no coral reefs or fish at this location....More

We stayed next door at the Westin, so it was nice to be able to walk over and swim out a bit for some snorkeling. Very few people out in the water so it felt like a private snorkeling spot!

Not sure about the day pass. Westin is pricy so a day pass would probably be so as well. Red sail sports has on site water sports so you can rent from them and snorkeling etc is right down the beach within walking distance... More

Other beaches have better snorkeling like cemetery beach, smiths cove and Spotts beach. Probably best snorkeling is on the north side, Cayman Kia beach.
