We often visit Artifacts Ltd in Grand Cayman to enjoy the wonderful collection of historic coins,
maps, paintings and items. Each time we love the knowleagable staff research and explanation of items. A worthy and most enjoyable experience.

We have been on 14 cruises and have seen just about all the "commercialized " shops in the Caribbean. But we have also sought out the unique and different, the local shops that have something 'special' Artifacts is a great example of that. The staff is terrific and so knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the 'artifacts'. No high pressure, just nice people-- we wished we could've spent more time their, but we had to get back to the ship. Do yourself a favor and visit when in port , or just on vacation on the Island.

The first time I stopped at this little store was in 1995 on a cruise. I bought a shipwreck silver coin and 2 copper “Cash” coins. I knew this was going to be my first stop for this visit to this island again. The owner is very knowledgeable and told us where each of the coins were found. We bought 2 silver coins. I hope they are still around on our next stop to this great little island.

I first visited Artifacts several years ago on a cruise and found very rare collectibles there from several thousand year old coins to 19th century ones. I have been there 3 times on three different cruises. The last time in Dec. 2019. And again I found a very old coin dating back to 500BC. Of course I had to add it to my collection from Artifacts. Very nice people to deal with and a great find for any collector.

Lori Adams, proprietor was a fountain of information! Thank you! I enjoyed the history lesson on monetary history. I found some exceptional buys for my husband. Rare and unique coins!
I wish I had more time and definitely more dollars as I would have bought much more.

We were wandering around Georgetown when we stop at this shop. We were there on a Tuesday, no cruise ship in port ,we had the owners to ourselves. The shop is filled with quality antiques, coins, maps, all kinds of neat stuff. We bought a map from the 1700's. The owner travels to England where he has connections to get old maps of the Caribbean. He has been doing this some 40 years and is impressive in his knowledge.this is the place to get that unique item that will stay in the family for generations.

Visited this place around the end of March during our western cruise and was amazed at how nice the staff are. Was looking for a shipwreck coin to use as a pendant and came out of the store with a valuable find and a wealth of information that came with the coin. Would love to come back to the store to find more stuff.

We frequently take cruises and sometimes plan our cruise based on our desire to go to this one store. This last visit was in February, 2015 and we planned a cruise based on the itinerary of Grand Cayman just so we could go to this store again. It is so intriguing to see all the items they have. The owners are so friendly and pleasant to talk with. It's like visiting with old friends. They know every detail about the history of every piece in the store. They have shipwreck items, estate items, glassware, etc. Definitely worth taking the time to stop by and visit. You won't be disappointed.

We stopped in the Artifacts antique store looking to purchase a unique souvenir on our visit and found the most amazing items in this shop once held and treasured by the hands of past. There was quite a selection of antique coins and surprised by the modest pricing. They also displayed beautiful jewelry, watches, porcelain, silver, and Halcyon Days enamels. We ended up purchasing 3 copper coins that came with a written historical account from the wreck of the The Admiral Garder that sunk in 1809. My treasure was a "Widow's Mite" from Judea 103-76 BC, that also came with a historical account and certificate of authenticity. They are located waterfront on Cayside Courtyard, Harbour Dr., George Town. Expect a smile and some wonderful stories from Mr. Adams. Be sure to ask about how we got the word "cash" and where the $ symbol originated!

Located just blocks from the tourist hell of George Town's port area (see one cruise port area [the actual port area, not the whole town], you've seen them all), Artifacts is a treasure trove of antiquities, for sale at very reasonable prices. We bought coins from 200 year old shipwrecks. Much older artifacts were for sale at very reasonable prices, along with antique maps, art prints, and other items. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even opening up a display case to allow me to photograph some of their items. I'd highly recommend.

Thanks for finding us and your review! We hope you return to Cayman, despite the tourist shops! Kind regards, Lori Adams
