I am a previous owner of a sailboat that I had in charter with Conch. I lost my boat in Irma 2017 and decided to just charter going forward. Booking with Conch was made easy and painless thanks to Bernadette and Ian. I booked my trip back in October for April 2022 and they were constantly available to answer my questions as I was trying to navigate Covid travel protocols as opposed to weather. The British Virgin Islands have been through a lot with the recent hurricanes and then the pandemic. I was very glad to see that the islands are thriving, re-building and welcoming the sailing community back. We chartered a 2015 41 foot Jeanneau and not only was she well maintained, she sailed like a dream. The entire team at Conch did everything they could to make our sailing vacation the dream of a lifetime. Thanks to Cindy, Bernadette, Ian, Phil, Emily, Ross and Rice(?). Boat and chart briefings were thorough and minor maintenance issues were handled without delay. Our charter debrief and the end of our sail was thorough and Rice(?) was very attentive to any concerns we had. Given our experience I have no reason to charter with any other company in the BVI. Thanks for the great experience!

We chartered a 39 foot Juneau with Conch in March of 2022. They were great. Booking the charter online was easy, and communication was great throughout the process. The boat orientation was informative and proved highly useful over the course of the trip. Our boat was clean, well-appointed with necessary tech, and well-maintained. We had a minor maintenance issue with our dinghy motor when we were all the way out at the Bitter End and Conch sent out a mechanic immediately. Returning the boat was easy and hassle free. At no point in the entire process did I ever feel like Conch was trying to nickel and dime us. I would definitely charter through Conch again.

We chartered the 2012 Leopard 444 the first week of April. The Leopard performed as expected and was well equipped. There were a couple of problems as would be expected on a 10 year old charter boat but those problems were balanced by the fact that the cost of the charter was about 40% less than other Tier I charter companies like Moorings. Additionally Conch was very responsive when the issues were identified as they dispatched mechanics and worked around our mooring schedules to effect the repairs. Conch also credited us the cost of re-fueling upon return for the minor inconvenience we experienced. Overall the charter was an excellent adventure and a good time was had by all. The main problem we had was re-entry into the USVI. Do not underestimate the time it takes to get enrolled in the USVI travel portal and negative COVID tests. The ferry left the terminal back to the USVI 30 minutes late which was just enough to cause us to miss our flight in St Thomas although we were able to fly standby on a later flight but got stuck in Miami.

We've sailed in the BVI many times. This was our first time chartering with Conch. We have never had service even close to what we had with Conch. From the planning stage to returning the boat everyone we dealt with was prompt, professional and friendly. They sit with every charterer prior to departure in an effort to understand what type of sailor you are. We sat with Bernadette and she gave us very specific information and advice for our trip. Felt very personal and spot on for our goals. Royce did our pre-sail boat check with us and he was extremely polite, knowledgeable and made sure everything was in working order. He has great plans for his future so if he happens to be your pre-check guy, ask him about his future plans. Phil did our end of trip boat check and again we ended up spending more time chatting with him than checking the boat. He is friendly and has his stories too. We will charter again with Conch.

We chartered 2 40 ft monohauls in March 2022 and have nothing but positive things to say about our experience. Mid trip we noticed our gooseneck had broken so we called in right away. The Conch team arrived promptly to fix it, enabling us to get back underway. They answered all of my pre trip emails promptly and thoroughly, which helped ease the post covid travel jitters we all had. We were so happy to be able to come back, after a few tough years, to support not only Conch Charters but other island businesses as well. We would recommend Conch Charters to ANYONE! From the moment we picked up our boats until we had to drop them back off we were happy. Thank you for helping us create fantastic memories for our both of two families.
