A lovely beach sweeping for half a mile, which provides a great place to swim, snorkel, sunbathe or just relax and watch the pelicans dive for fish.

Due to the topography of its bottom, no pun intended; Josiah's Bay provides a great surfing beach on the eastern end of Tortola. Especially in autumn and winter, the motion of the ocean (😊) generates rideable waves; and an annual competition is held there.

One of the easier beaches to get to on Tortola and without a doubt the nicest setting. Not bad snorkeling and great waves for boogie boarding or take a lesson from the surf school on the beach.

We had not been to Josiah's before Irma, but could see that there was much more to offer then. The beach is stunning and has powdery white sand. It is surfing destination and, as such has powerful waves. We had our four year old with...More

If you're looking for a beautiful yet very low key beach, this is the place for you. This cove had great sandbars and was very quiet. Many surfers in this spot. There is a beach bar and a handful of chairs and umbrellas setup. We...More

Had some island neighbors tell us about this place and we had to go! Took our boat over to the bay and found out we couldn't moor or even anchor due to the wind. We took a rental car over to it and had THE...More

By far, the very best beach we visited. Pristine clear water. In July, there was no surfing, just calm and beautiful water with pinkish sand. The little bar there was great. Paula behind the bar was amazing and friendly and kept the Presidentes coming in...More

We visited here almost every day...The beach was beautiful with shells and sea glass to be found. The only beach we found shells at. It has great waves for surfing but yet gentle enough for snorkeling right off the beach.

We found Josiah's Bay sort of by accident. We had a relatively short stay with a Norwegian cruise. We asked I cab driver where we could go to find the biggest waves, and he said Josiah's Bay. It was one of the most beautiful places...More

We were on an NCL ESCAPE cruise, and instead of signing up for one of their offered excursions, we opted for an adventure. A local recommended Josiah's Bay because it's off the beaten path and beautiful. When we arrived the total people on the beach...More
