There was hardly a beach. Grand Case is a tiny street with restaurants and shops and was pretty cute. However the “beach” is behind the businesses and is maybe a few yards deep. There was a bigger stretch of beach way down past the main strip with umbrellas. It was strange and empty. No waves though and water was nice and calm

This beach is short and crowded with chairs and umbrellas, but offers a lively atmosphere for those who enjoy busy beaches. Water sports are available. It took us a while to figure out that we had to go through one of the hotels to access the beach since there's no public access from Grand Case public parking lots (despite signs saying 'beach parking'). The shops all along the street were underwhelming and overpriced. We did have a pleasant experience at Lolo's with drinks, snacks, and sailboat watching.

grand case is funky and cool but difficult to get a good coffee and breakfast in the morning,, food is either barbecue or very expensive restaurant, but the real alert is the bay had warnings from government regarding high bacteria. with so many boats, businesses ,sewage, and weather this problem is not advertised but is there.

Where go I begin, First of all not the nicest begin in st Martin. Very narrow a lot of damaged buildings from hurricane which I know is not their fault but doesn't look like any hurry to fix . Not enough beach chairs only a couple places that offer them and they are very pushy about buying drinks when you just sat down at 10 in the morning. I'm not an alcoholic so that is annoying. Definitely prefer orient beach ⛱️

Prettiest water we’ve seen on St. Martin. We ate breakfast at Rainbow Cafe’, then rented chairs and had lunch and drinks from Captain Frenchy’s - loved it there!

Great beach. Great places to stay along the boulevard. Awesome restaurants. Neighborhood is not great though. Make sure you don't leave any valuables in your car, ESPECIALLY in Grand Case.

Great day at the Beach! Our first trip to the French side, guided by our Taxi driver who highly suggested Tropic. We were greeted and promptly seated in ours beach chairs with a cold beverage. The sand was amazing and the water crystal clear. We planned to stay for lunch but ended up having dinner as well since the food was so delicious. Great beach to walk along and easy for swimming. No sunset - only downside.

Park at the side of the road, and follow the path to get to the beach. We really enjoyed all the wall art along the way. The beach is gorgeous, and not very busy at all (we saw 2 other people the whole time!)

Beautiful beach with calm waters! Rented chairs and lunched at Rainbow Cafe (highly recommended) - loved it so much we went back a second time during our one-week trip. Second time, we walked to southern tip and snorkeled off beach all the way out to the rocky tip - great snorkeling! Rays, eels, coral, fish, lobster, and more! (Heard great things also about northern tip of bay but it is really hard to access unless you have a boat)

We got beach chairs at Tropic Beach Bar and sat out most of the afternoon until after sunset. We enjoyed the water. No seaweed. Felt good temperature wise. Water was clearer than the Dutch side. Sand was also pretty powdery no debris.
