Husband and I just came back from honeymoon and explored nearly entire island- this spot was one of our favorites! Look for small street sign(s) that point you in the right direction. Views are awesome!! Must see!

There really isn't much left of Fort Louis. It is mostly ruins. There are signs giving information about the fort when it existed. There are also a number of cannons, though I have no idea whether they are originals from the fort. But, mostly what you go for is the views of the island and surrounding area. You get a... More

Hi. It's always interesting to stop and visit historical places in strange places. It does not not take much time and the view is excellent. They put these forts in high places to defend the island from enemies. There are so many islands around here hat there was plenty to go around

We first saw Fort Louis from our hotel in the evening while having a drink. It was lit up nicely and actually thought it was a party. Our task for the next day was to head up and take in the views. There is nothing up there really and it hasn't been maintained but is has a beautiful view.

The Fort at Marigot looks like it is a hard climb. But, it takes approximately 10 minutes tops to get up there. The fort is not much to see anymore but the view from that high is worth the climb.

The walk up to the top is extremely easy, and there's a great view at the top. Marigot is visible down below, and the fort itself is worth visiting too. The area that it takes up on the hill is quite large, and there are various signs around it that give you its history.

It was quite a hike to the top! There isn’t much left of the fort - a few cannons and one building that is covered in graffiti and trash (which is apparently used for sex - complete with a bench and cushion, and we saw at least one condom wrapper), but the views of the island and marina were worth...
