We did another Caribbean sea cruise at the beginning of this year and we were in St. Maarten-St.Martin on 13/01. The island is VERY beautiful and interesting, you have a lot to see. However, we strongly suggest that you try to experience this sailing boat racing, it is a LOT OF FUN! We had no sailing experience and just wanted... More

This was our 2nd sail on these great yacht's. While the first sail, a few years ago was beyond our expectations, this recent sail was the complete opposite. Our profession crew for this day was led by a completely jaded Sth African Skipper, who managed to make the day, a miserable experience for the volunteer Captain, who was blamed for... More

First, can't say enough about the staff and crew. They were exceptionally helpful in providing information up front and accommodating to our group. Captain Morgan (really!) and crew were excellent - they were lots of fun & great coaches - but very serious and sharp about sailing. Second - the race. Really exciting. Those who are interested in participating are... More

I was interested from the first time I read about this experience. It's more than a ride, you actually can participate. In addition to getting to crew an actual 12 meter boat, the crew makes the experience fun. Be aware, you will get the rock & roll of a real boat underway in seas. When moving hard, the deck will... The most fun thing we did here. I am not much for boating but I can't believe how much I enjoyed this. Will definitely recommend this adventure to anyone going to St Martin !!!

This activity was so much fun ! you really don't need any sailing experience at all, the entire crew makes this a great time from the sign in to the short training period, then on to the boats!!!we sailed on True north with Captain Garrett - very exciting. I would recommend this event to just about anybody....

My husband and I loved this excursion. We stopped in St. Maarten during a cruise and booked this trip through the ship. It was well organized, lots of instruction ( We are not sailors), and so much fun. The staff are wonderful and really make it exciting. This is something that I am so glad that we did and plan... A great unique chance to crew on a 1987 Americas cup 12 metre yacht. This was the only trip from our cruise ship which was actually cheaper than booking direct-Some mistake surely?.Two teams of novices or 'experts' get a fantastic opportunity to experience a unique race. You can be an 'active' or 'inactive' participant. Working a grinder, timekeeper or just... More

Just knowing you're sailing on Stars and Stripes or on True North is awesome to begin with. Do participate - Be a grinder or a "winch wench", and you're actually part of the crew, and the two boats do race on every trip, just as they do in the America's Cup Challenge. If you ever have a tendency to get... More

No sailing experience necessary to work as part of the crew or to just relax and enjoy the ride. My wife and I worked as grinders, even though we had never done before. It was great fun. We were on Canada II and beat Stars and Stripes II. We woiuld love to go back and do it again. The staff... More
