More difficult to walk than the boardwalk. The sidewalks are narrow and uneven. Lots of shops and restaurants.

Front street looked great and was definitely hopping while we were there. There are tons of great spots to get a cheap drink and good food. Throw in great shopping and you can definitely spend the day or two having fun.

Front street runs for about a mile along the Great Bay in Phillipsburg. It has many jewelry stores, clothing stores, pharmacies, liquor and souvenir stands. The stores are all nice and the shopkeepers are friendly. Hurricane Irma did a job on St Martin but Front...More

I quite enjoyed St Maarten - although it was a bit of a stroll from the pier dock, I still went back into the town for a further explore. The island has been hit by a tornado but there's less damage around this side of...More

The main shopping street downtown. You can find high end clothes, jewelry, cosmetics, as well as souvenirs and electronics. You should be able to find anything you need here.

Front Street is recovering nicely after last fall’s devastating hurricane. Don’t hesitate to visit. Holland House is operating as a hotel as well as bar and restaurant.

Still signs of the hurricane damage that the Island suffered, but great to see so many stores and outlets getting back to normality and of course bringing the tourists back! The small beach area was in good condition with vendors were back to selling loungers...More

Saw it in March 18. The damage was extensive but the place is up for visitors. The large businesses are open. Shopping is back. Give it a try.

While lying on the Great Bay or just for a trip to the city, definitely go to this place. It's a short alley, perhaps 150m, but it's so stylish, I felt like in Monaco. It's totally different from everything you're still on the go, you...More

Yes it was. You can pull up YouTube videos of the damage. But if you will request to join the Travelers Who Love St Maarten there are very resent photos and videos of the Phillipsburg area and beach. It’s looking great now
