In the centre of the boardwalk there is a police station next to the ATM giving a feeling of safety when withdrawing cash. A wide open area with taxi stand it has easy access to the Front Street shopping area

This is in the middle of the shopping area of Philipsburg so you will stumble on it no matter if your looking for it or not.

Hodge pier and Wathey Square, shaded by palms, lead to the picturesque old courthouse, behind which there is a colorful outdoor market. The square is lined with jewejry stores, including Diamonds International, where we had a great experience. Benches dot the shaded square (there could be many more), where you and the locals can rest your feet from the day... More

This is an historical building that is kept up well and painted nicely. It is a short walk to it in downtown Philipsburg.

This building has been well taken care of over the years and the outside was completely redone several years ago. It is a vey historic sight and when ever you see it you think St Maarten

It is a nice square which has the old court house and a few benches, but it is surrounded by shops in the downtown shopping area.

There's not much to it other than a place to rest or take a couple of photos. When we were there a few local food stalls had set up and were offering jerk and creole foods which was a nice change from the mainly burger and fries joints on the Boardwalk.

This was nothing more than a good meeting place for tours and a good landmark to lead cruise ship patrons back to the water taxi. It is aligned with the courthouse and water taxi pier. Here was able to find gentlemen offering island tours, which I found cheaper with my own taxi drivers. I also got a nice photo of... More

A great walk while shopping or exploring. I love looking at building and as always I search out buildings every time I visit a new place or a place I have been but not yet seen.

If you are on a cruise, you have to walk through there. But just keep on going. There is nothing bad there. Everybody is nice. But it is just a strip mall (one with great weather and nice views), but move past this area and keep on going to town and to the beaches.
