About
Come and see the best views in St Lucia. Enjoy a guided tour and learn about the plants and their medicinal properties, the history of the areas ,organic farms, local people, Enjoy local fruits in season, the new wedding gazebo (St.Pierre Point) and much more. PLEASE NOTE There are misleading signs on route to this trail. DIRECTIONS: You are to drive straight up to the top hill until the end of the road. We have a huge parking lot with mango tree right in the middle. If you find your self anywhere that mentions “Community Hike” you are at the wrong place.

My husband and I stopped off at Tet Paul as part of an island day tour we were doing and this was our highlight!
We were lucky to have a guide called Zioni who was full of character, knowledgeable and really wanted to ensure we had the best experience possible. He talked to us about the various plants, animals, antique house and surrounding pitons, he also spent time taking lots of photos of us to ensure we captured the very best memories.
This is well worth the visit. Please note this is the original Tet Paul as I believe there’s a copy cat… ensure you go right to the top where there is a car park and mango tree, the one where you see the antique house.

My husband and I hiked Tet Paul on our honeymoon, and it was the perfect hike for what we were looking for. I wasn’t feeling well the few days prior, but really wanted to do this hike. The first 15 minutes or so is all an incline with lots of stairs, and I immediately started to feel worse. Thank GOD our guide was Denver. He was so lovely- not only did he encourage me to take as many breaks as I needed, he initiated them by stopping frequently. I’m the type of person who will push myself past the point of being uncomfortable, and I often don’t speak up for the sake of not bothering others, but Denver stopped often and distracted me by pointing out the different plants and animals, offering pieces of history, and telling stories. Once we reached the top, he assured me the rest of the hike was easy, and rather than making me feel upset with myself for ‘weakness’, he told us he thought I was strong for pushing through, as he could tell I wasn’t feeling well. If it wasn’t for Denver, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to see those once in a lifetime views! The hike was gorgeous, and Denver was so wonderful. An unforgettable experience

The Tet Paul Nature Trail climbs up a well maintained trail to incredible views of the two Pitons. We used a guide, Denver, who is a part of the community that maintains the trail and the immediate environment. He was really knowlegable about the plants and trees - which was great as we took the climb slowly. There were two viwing points, one of the Gros Piton and then the best sport between the two, that can be captured with a panoramic shot on your phone. I highly recomend spending an hour or two on this trail if you're in Soufriere and can get a ride to the start.

This is a lovely 40 minute walk with some great views of the grand piton but also other parts of the island. Less of a hike more of a stroll and a big difference from the petit piton

Just right. Hike was just enough with amazing views. There were large groups with bus tours coming off of cruise ships and from Sandals, however we were paired only one other couple. Although it is not a difficult hike, we did see some folks in their 70's+ really struggling with footing and fatigue. I would recommend when they first open, or later in the day to avoid crowds. They offer beverages at the top, which is a nice touch.

Unbelievably beautiful views. Best in St. Lucia. If you choose to do the hike from Fond Doux Eco resort make sure you are in extremely good shape. That portion of the hike is basically a mile plus uphill. The actual Tet Paul trail is not so difficult .
Also if you choose to take the local buses from Rodney Bay make sure you do,it first thing in the morning. The local bus drivers mostly live in Soufries area and do not go back to Rodney bay in the late afternoon.

Stunning views from this short hike.
Our guide, Leona, was informative and fun, with good explanations regarding the plants and their medicinal uses.
Also Leona, took plenty of photos of us both too!

Not as extreme a hike as the Pitons themselves but still quite a trek uphill to a fantastic viewpoint where you’ll be rewarded with an awesome view of both Pitons. The tour guide was not overly friendly and gave very little information as we made our ascent. Definitely worth a visit but avoid in the midday heat!

For those that don’t want to hike Gros or Petit Piton, this is probably the best alternative. The trail is pretty easy, taking around 25 minutes to go up and the views of the Pitons up there are pretty nice.

The good thing is that this trail is also owned and maintained by the local community so your money directly supports them.

Parking can be somewhat limited, so it is best to arrive there early when the weather is not too hot and the cruise ship passengers have not arrived. I went there at around 9 o’clock and there was only one other couple.

We were sure we wanted to hike Gros Piton and our hotel recommended we start with Tet Paul as an overview. I'm glad they did. There were places that required some exertion to get up/ down the trail but overall I thought the trail was a bit easy. It didn't fully scratch my hiking itch but it was a lovely introduction and definitely a great way to kick off your trip to St. Lucia!

The guides - 100% worth getting the guide. They're locals from the community and give so much insight to what you're seeing and who the people are who live in the region. Very reasonable price for what you get here.
