Brilliant artwork all over. Everything is made by hand. Unfortunately, i am not a great appreciator for art. So, I wonder on why i would pay around $25,000 for a large wooden piece of art.
Although, i purchased 2 small hand made items for $20 and contributed to the local economy :).

I have been to the Eudovic Studio several times and am still in awe of the magnificent work done by Vincent his son, and artisans. This takes memories of St. Lucia to a whole new level with such an artifact……. Not a trinket, magnet, photograph, print or gem, but a genuine piece of local art. The abstract carvings are incredible and I have several.
The Caribbean Islands all have forts, rum, ports, shops, restaurants, and collectibles, but there is only one EUDOVIC!

We visited this art studio. The sculptor does amazing work with just a chisel and no power equipment. He produces different themed sculptures of all sizes. There is a gallery and gift shop in addition to the workshop. A must see,

I had read about this studio and thought we would never find it, since we had rented a car. However, one day when in Castries, a gentleman approached us and offered to take us for a tour. One of the stops was this lovely gallery and shop. I was thrilled. We saw a man at work, and then went into the studios. I bought a lovely piece that I am thrilled with.

It's interesting to see pieces of fallen wood being carved into modern works of art and there's a pleasant studio and shop to see less abstract pieces for sale. Nice rum punch from their bar. I can't comment on the accommodation as we weren't staying there - just having a look around - but looks like it would be a very nice location to say.

When you arrive, there is a demonstration of wood carving before you move on to see a gallery of beautiful exhibits. Then there is a shop with more moderately priced items of between 20 - 50 US dollars, which are very good value. Many organised tours visit Eudovic's Art Studio, but it's only a short taxi ride from Castries. Worth a visit, if you like wood objects.

Very impressive artwork from different types of woods and even the roots of a local tree. They have a workshop and next door a gallery with reasonably price cravings.

We read about this place and were glad to stop in. We got a nice tour of the studio and got to see the tools and process. The gift shop was quaint and non-pressured. Considering all the solicitation on the island it was a nice place to make some shopping choices without someone pressuring you. It made for a nice gift buying experience, and made me want to spend more time and money here.

Price range as described in previous answer. Picked up a 16-inch piece I loved for $176US. They will also ship to US if you can't or don't want to carry, but shipping costs can be 50% of original price. Service is very friendly and quick.

Are the beach chairs sturdy. We are traveling there and are large folks. I want to know if we should bring a blanket or if the chairs will work?

They are lounge chairs which did hold me as well as several of my traveling companions we are all big folks. I didn't find them really comfortable but they also had upright sturdy plastic chairs. Honestly we didn't spend much time sitting because the water was so salty there was no effort required to float. We were in at least 30 feet of water for hours and it was wonderful.
