We were stopping here on a cruise & missing free WIFI so had been told to try the library, I did ask first. No problem & we walked into a room with a few tables & chairs & lovely air conditioning! No password was needed...More

The exterior architecture was beautiful, however the interior was plain. The original building was built in 1924. It was burned down in 1948 and rebuilt in 1950. Free wifi inside.

Outside and inside this is an impressive old colonial building that I would highly recommend for a visit. It is still a library and all of us from the ship were impressed with the building. If your on a one day stay and walking the...More

Often visiting a Library is not always on the top of the list - this place is amazing. The old books high up on the shelves are something from history. The whole atmosphere of this library is something to remember forever. And of course the...More

From a tourist perspective this was a great find. It was comfortable sitting in the reading room and the wifi was blitzing fast. However it highlighted how far countries like St Lucia have to come as far as libraries are concerned. Charge tourists for the...More

I like the architecture of this old building and it's an active local library so you're welcome inside, but you can't take any books without membership. Still they're very welcoming to all visitors and if you like to read it's worth a look and photo....More

Wonderful library. Friendly and inspiring staff who are willing to assist with questions (or even if you are just stopping in for a quick look around or using the Wifi). Worth a visit if you are in Castries.

Architecture and color really stand out from rest of the area so most admiring can be done from the street. Inside is a step back in time with many ancient looking books stored inaccessibility upstairs in tall bookcases lining the periphery of the walls. Old...More

See if the library has a website so you can ask and know for sure. I recall a few books Iin English. Mind you, this isn't the New York City library! It's a tiny place and not too well stocked.
