The highlight of Castries is the catholic cathedral. While not old and on need of repair it certainly is didn't and very colorful inside. Have a look if you are in Castries but don't make a desperate trip.

The inside of this large church is richly decorated with stained glass and brightly decorated artwork. It is a very simple interior, which is very peaceful. I had a lovely chat with the priest in it and he was so friendly and welcoming to me....More

It is a beautiful structure with a lot of character and patina. The interior is wooden with a painted ceiling and beautiful stained glass windows near the ceiling to facilitate natural convective ventilation. You don't have to be religious to appreciate the beauty of this...More
