Beautiful beach but our least favorite on the island. The waves are strong, no real shade from trees to hide from and nothing to see snorkelling.
We preferred St Jean and Columbier by far.
Parking is plentiful compared to other beaches.

A short walk from the parking lot, Saline is a lovely beach. Nice swimming and sunning. Wide sandy beach area.

This is a white sand beach, beautiful view, miles long, the biggest credit is less peoples.
You need to walk from the carpark about 10 minute, walk on the small sand dune up and down. Worth it. Remember to bring your parasol.

We like this beach a little better than Governour. The sand is a little more flat for walking, and the beach is a little longer. The water temperature in early December was refreshing. There is a short uphill hike from the parking lot to get to the beach.

Beautiful beach. Longer than Gouverneur but more difficult to get on. You have a decent walk from the parking lot and midway you need to climb up rocks and stones. If you have trouble with rocky hills this may not be the place. Definitely need shoes as it is difficult in flip flops.
Once on the beach, it is beautiful with nice warm water. The beach is long enough for walking. With dunes behind you and mountains on both sides, the beach is completely secluded. This allows it to be a perfectly comfortable place to be topless (common on St. Barts) or fully nude without many onlookers. Clothing optional is towards either end of the beach. The day we were there, there may have been 30 people on the entire beach.
Since it was further from our villa and more difficult to get on, we only spent one day at Saline, but one of the best beaches on the island of St. Barts. Like Gouverneur, there are no facilities or services. You need to bring your own chairs, umbrella, food, and beverages.
Saline and Governeur are the two best beaches on St. Barts
Worth the visit!
Would have been 5 stars if not for the access to the beach.

Anse de Grande Saline is a wonderful beach. With dunes behind you and mountains on both sides, the beach is completely secluded. This seclusion allows it to be a perfectly comfortable place to be topless or fully nude without many onlookers. While popular, I've never seen it too crowded. There are no businesses on the beach, so you must bring in all of your own food, drinks, and shade.

Its about a 15 min hike to the beach from the parking lot. Its not too busy but the water can be a little rough depending on the day.

After visiting St. Jean, Flamands, Lorient, and Govenuer I decided Saline was my favorite beach on St. Bart’s (Gov was second fav). No facilities and a nice calm ambiance. Pack a bag of stuff and take it with you. No beach bars or restaurants walkable so it’s best to pack a little picnic. It’s a nice long strand of beach to walk and was never too crowded. The walk uphill then downhill from the parking lot is a nice little exercise and helps give the beach a somewhat remote feel. If in St. Bart’s it’s a great beach to spend a quiet peaceful afternoon and just watch the waves and hills.

This is a lovely beach which stretches for quite a ways- it is easy to walk on. however, the walk from the parking area to the beach can be tricky for those with mobility issues. You need to walk up hill for part of the walk in each direction. One hill has sand that covers rocks which means it is much more comfortable to have shoes on and the other hell is loose sand. My husband has knee issues and found it difficult to come back down on the part that had the rocks under the sand. However, the water is easier to swim in than at some of the other beaches. There is not as strong of an undertow here as another beaches. Families, couples and friends all populate the beach. If you walk all the way down to the end of the beach, going to the left after you arrive at the beach, you will find an area where most people are without bathing suits at all. It is a quiet Section of beac. The water is a beautiful turquoise here and sell but our yachts often anchor in the water. There is an AED located at the entrance to the beach. The restaurant, Grain del sel, is located right before the parking lot. Very casual and convenient for before or after the beach.

The beach is wide with soft white sand, the water turquoise, and in spite of that there's plenty of space. It is near perfect, but the total lack of any facilities such as toilets, showers, and shady vegetation makes me deduct points.
There is an informal nude section at the end, to the left as you enter. No signs, no fences, just social acceptance.

Good evening, my wife and I are very interested in our first visit to the Caribbean, while we have been to Bermuda and Asia many times, this would be our first visit to the Islands. We are extremely interested in your help to set up a perfect match. We love nudism but also enjoy dressing formally on occasion. First, if you do not mind, some questions:
1. How close are you to the beach, it does not seem like you are directly on the water?
2. How difficult is it to travel to your location, do you know if there is any direct flights from Boston?
3. What is the shopping like in the area, can we walk there?
4. We would be traveling with arrival on 30/July, departure on the 5th/Aug, depending on things, we might consider making the departure on the 6th?
5. Could you tell us what units might be available for these dates, and what is the rate for each, considering two adults? Please specify in US$.
6. What is the cost to rent a car for a few days, we probably would not want one for the entire stay?
7. What would you require for a deposit and when would balance be due?
8. We know this is clothing optional, and have been AANR members for years, so understand the proper use of cameras, but my wife is into photography and loves pictures, using common sense, and care about taking pictures, is this a problem at your location?
9. What is the best process for doing reservations?
10. What is in the local area to see, with or without clothing?
Anything else you can forward us would be very much appreciated and assist us in our planning.
Sincerely,
pierrot03220

Hello To bathe naked go only to the beach of Grande Salines near Lorient st barth my wife being West Indian and refusing to remove her swimsuit it is the perfect 80% textile beach but we could my wife in a swimsuit and me naked to walk along the beach without any problem with textiles because everyone is kind and respectful of others more than naturists who do not accept my wife in a swimsuit one day my wife told me today you were all alone naked in the middle of the others in swimsuits and nobody was shocked beautiful lesson of respect and cohabitation

Hello,
We have been to St. Martin four times LOL and love it and going back in July.
Question - what day trip to you take to St. Barths? Can you recommend anyone that sails over there?
Did they take you snorkeling anyplace?
Trying to decide if we want to stay on St. Barths for a few days or just do a day sail.
Any info would be helpful.
Thanks in advance.

I would totally go and stay in St Barth's for a few days. It's magical. So relaxed.
We stayed at the Saint Christopher Hotel and loved it. You should rent a vehicle when you are there so you can get around the island. The Saline Beach was our favorite.
Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know.
Cheers,
Karen

I am a long time (April) visitor to St Barts. (20+ years) This April Saline Beach was virtually unusable and Governor's beach was also in rough shape because of immense amounts of seaweed. We have never previously encountered this problem. Does the island have any plan to remove the seaweed or is the plan to let nature take its course?
