We loved this place and were very happy we stayed I scouts place in the middle of it. Every person we met was super friendly and open. We received lots of advise and we loved walking around.

Beautiful little village dotted with quaint cottages nested on a hillside. Pretty unique in the Caribbean - I have travelled to many islands and had never before come across an atmosphere quite like this one. Small center of town has several restaurants, an outdoor cafe; feels safe to wander around at any time of the day or evening. Complete absence... More

We have enjoyed our 5 day stay in Villa Fairview overlooking the small town Of Windwardside. We enjoy the walk down into town to look around and grab a bite to eat. If staying in a villa take advantage of the two grocery stores on the island for your basic needs. Fresh produce delivery is Wednesday on the island. I... More

Small town in the pretty much the middle of the island. Lots of things to do and see close by, including the hike of Mt Scenery. A wide verity of eating establishments are within walking distance or a short taxi ride. Everything has the same red metal roof giving it that real Caribbean feel.

All the houses are built with the same style. It is not a rule, but a custom of the people. It is quiet stunning.

The town is located in a saddle between the highest point in the Netherlands and another shorter peak of an inactive volcano. Every where you go is up or down and on very steep grades. I stepped off the grade on one road (not the steepest) and it is 22%. People have pride in their island, most of the properties... More

Everyone greets you on the street with a smile and a hello. The restaurants and stores are all small mom and pop type places. You gotta just love this cozy feel, completely removed from the rush of the U.S. The cute houses, great people, fantastic food! Enjoy!
