Remains a brooding, unique and captivating feature of this magical island. This is our 11th visit to the island and the fascination remains undimmed! This particular January has been unusually wet with limited views of the summit but plenty of steaming going on!

The only place to view and understand the Soufriere Hills Volcano. Its a fair drive to the observatory but well worth the effort. The staff are pleasant and courteous and full of information about the eruption. Do not miss the video of the eruption shown...More

You can see the volcano from all around with smoke still coming out of it. Tours are given permission to go into the exclusion zone which is the area hit by or still in the area of another possible eruption. It is hard to believe...More
