We were off a cruise ship for the day. This was a place we picked out to visit. The plants and flowers were very nice and we enjoyed the visit.

Jardin de Blata has plenty of tropical flowers and plants. There is an aerial path, which provides a bird’s eye view of the garden. It is fifteen minutes from Forte-de-France in the direction of St-Pierre.

We struggled to find a cruise excursion and actually had chosen another which sadly was cancelled so we ended up here. Glad we did. Our guide was very knowledgable and made things interesting and fun. The variety of plants was amazing and the hummingbirds were beautiful. The gardens do weave up and down a series of steep paved hills so... More

The park itself takes about one hour to tour. We had a stroller as the advertising showed the park was accessible but in fact, there are many stairs. Despite this inconvenience, the garden is stunning, exhibiting many species of flowers and trees endemic to Martinique. The little house with colibris is quite fun as well. The canopie walks are fun... More

We arrived late in the day, so only had an hour. We could have spent two hours, happily. The flowers were stunning. It's one of the most beautiful gardens we have ever seen. It is beautifully laid out and we saw plants we had not seen anywhere else. The bridge is a fun way to see the garden from up... More

Wasn't that impressed, but a stopping off point if you are driving south through the rain forest. Stepped back to take a picture and was in a pond!!

We went to Jardin de Balata as a day trip during our cruise. My mother was traveling with my husband and I so we looked for things she would enjoy. We had an incredible time touring the gardens. The flowers and foliage were just beautiful and suspension bridge offered unbelievable views.

A beautiful garden, which has been scenicly landscaped, making use if stunning vistas and plants. For the intrepid there is a suspension bridge through the trees, but this is optional. Reported to be over 3000 different plants, well worth a visit.

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Make sure to use the map so you see everything. And there is a good restaurant with French-style casual lunch. No burgers, fries, thank goodness.
