The gardens are beautiful and the drive from Fort de France to get to the gardens is equally enjoyable. With that said we walked through the gardens in less than hour (we did not do the audio tour). The tree walk was extremely fun and the views fantastic. The hummingbrids are a treat to watch. I'm glad we experienced the... More

These gardens were fascinating. Well laid out with varieties of plants and trees that we had never seen before (and one of our party is a tree expert!). It was also a delight to see some of the plants and flowers, familiar to us as house plants, in a natural habitat. A real visual feast. We also enjoyed the tree... More

Avoid cruisers (like me) if possible, as it does get very crowded and takes away from the viewing pleasure. With that aside, a highlight was watching the large variety hummingbirds near the visitor center and taking in the many varied tropical trees and flowers that almost all have an interesting story to go with. Give it an hour, lots of... More

We visited these beautiful gardens while on a Caribbean Cruise as a ships shore excursion. We were on a Star Clippers cruise so just a small group. It had rained on the bus but stopped by the time we arrived at the Garden. I think the rain made the gardens sparkle even more. The guided tour was very informative and... More

The Botanical Gardens are very pretty and well maintained, but the tour company needs a lot of work on the hiring and training of the tour guides. Our guide was maybe early 20's and had a hard time holding his pants up when he bent over, lots of under ware showing. His presentation travelling to the Gardens was very poor,... More

We went, it was raining, but it was still great! Dive bombed by hummingbirds, and going on the rope bridge - highlight of the gardens.

We had a fantastic time and highly recommend this garden. We were traveling independently in Martinique but had no trouble driving to the gardens ourselves (parking can be a bit tight though). The entry fee (13.50 EUR for adults) is a bit steep compared to other things in the area but it's completely worth it and includes the treetop walk... More

Both times we went to Martinique on the ship it was raining. The gardens were fabulous and lovely even though it was very wet it was well worth a trip. Great to see the hummingbirds as well. Very enjoyable visit.
