We had the chance to visit the fort with Luis. He gave us lots of interesting historical and geographical information about the fort, the city and the island. It's worth it and I recommend it !

Guided tours in English several times a day, even more guided tours in French. This was a fun activity, and the history very interesting.

Liked it very much. You got to like history, which I do. Otherwise, do not bother. Pretty view on the whole bay, personal perspective of our young enthusiastic guide.

When we arrived in Fort de France Fort St Louis is one of the first things you see, when docking etc. It's a large earth mound really extending into the sea on a peninsula and over the years has offered the town and island some...More

I rarely give a one star review but my experience was just that. As we left our cruise ship we walked 10 minutes directly over to Fort assuming that there would be a place to buy tickets. There were other tourists waiting so we figured...More

The short road is gravel and dirt but should be accessible. If you have someone to guide you it should not be a problem
