Doesn't really look like Sacre Coeur. When I visited in March 2023 it was covered in scaffolding and looked as if the outside needed cleaning. Nothing inside and the guide (from the cruise ship) didn't tell us anything about it. Nice views. Toilets in the block behind the church.

The outside of the church is interesting, however the inside needs some work (maybe a lot of work). If you are on a tour make sure that the guide tells you about the hands on the statue.
As I stated in the title, this was part of a cruise excursion and it seemed as if every excursion stopped here.....at the same time. So it was very crowed when we were there, luckily we have been here before and got to see the church at a more leisure pace.

Nice church but nothing special, so it's quite a long detour if the church is why you're going. Balata garden is quite close to here so can be combined.

Our Island tour brought us to this lovely Church which is a miniature version of Sacre Coeur in Paris. Quite an interesting, well presented building with a beautiful statue of Christ above it’s entrance.

The basillica is small, little ornateness, needs major renovations (mold, loose stones, stones need repointing, woodwork needs repair, sanding, varnish). Was expecting something great, it was miserable. Someone in Paris needs to send money so the church can be saved.

We stopped here as part of a tour to Balata. The Cathedral is small, and is modelled on the Sacred-Heart Cathedral in Paris. It's a wonderfully small replica on the outside and lovely from the outside if you walk around it. However, it is quite an ordinary church in everyday use on the inside.
The views down into the valley are also good - verdant forest with dots of habitations.
Not worth a visit in it's own right, but a good and interesting stop on a longer tour.

This isn’t a large church but it's still attractive. We were lucky to have a mostly blue sky during our brief visit. It’s located on the road to the Jardin de Balata. The interior is a little plain but pretty. There's a large parking in front.

It was part of our tour and it could be interesting for certain people who like this kind of visit. But I have seen more imposing structures.

We stopped here briefly on a cruise tour. The church is very nice, and interesting to compare to the original in Paris. The views from the parking lot are gorgeous!

An impressive structure, but not the most appealing. Best part was the view from the parking lot: an impressive vista across Fort de France Bay.
