This place is reverent, moving and macabre all in one. The mysteriously positioning of the cemetery next to the sounds of the crashing but sometimes tranquil water ,whispering wind and El Morro watchfully perched above is very moving and overwhelmingly breathtaking. Worth a visit. Highly...More

The above ground nature of the cemetery in most cases lends an air of the macabre to this site. I thoroughly enjoyed wandering about the crypts, wondering who this that or the other of Puerto Rico's heritage lay here in this most beautiful of settings...More

We walked through after leaving the fortillo. Beautiful architecture -- really gave a sense of the history and culture of the place. Oceanside, makes for great photos.

Very beautiful and emotionally moving. Worth a see just to pay respect. The view from above is breathtaking. The water crashing, the wind and the proximity to el Morro made this overwhelmingly beautiful.

Beautiful old cemetery located next to El Morro. Even a quick stop is a rewarding experience with the old headstones and the picturesque view of the ocean.

If you're visiting the fort, you will notice the cemetery below it and next to the ocean. Wander down for a closer view because it is very picturesque and a part of the area's history.

I am not one to visit cemeteries but I found this one interesting because of its approximation to the water. The view is breathtaking.

The headstones are amazing! So detailed, beautiful, and moving. The ocean views from the cemetery are gorgeous as well. It was a very artistic tribute to the deceased.

Yes it is a short walk from the terminal, however when we arrived by cruise ship, there was a shuttle bus that would take you to old town and the walk is only about 5 minutes.
