Been here twice and very impressed both times. First time on a Palm Sunday and saw parade. This time there as three young debutantes arrived in very colourful gowns - thought it was a wedding at first. Church has high ceilings and 3D stations of the cross.

Must be magical as two weddings were taking place as we arrived. Beautiful high classic arches adorne this active church in Old Town San Juan.

It only takes a few minutes to see, so if you are walking the streets of Old San Juan, it would be a shame to miss it.

excellent experience showing the ability and power of money the Catholic Church had in the 1600 to be able to built sucha monument in such a poor island and small city. Without doubt it was the largest and most luxurious. Excellent history, saints are buried there. Relick and figures are representative of the time. Excellent experience

Lovely cathedral, undergoing restoration in many areas. Resting place of Ponce de Leon; great stained glass and artifacts

We were on our cruise, stopped at San Juan. We took an inexpensive taxi tour, who ended up dropping us off right near the cathedral. Ponce de Leon is buried there. This is in the heart of the old city, among beautiful streets and neighborhoods. Happily, if you have never been to San Juan, we were let off at the... More

We stayed across the street at Hotel El Convento. We visited the church and returned for mass on Sunday. The interior is simple and in need of TLC. It is extremely popular for weddings. There were 2-3 per day while we were there.

The Cathedral plaza is located in the heart of Old San Juan. It is the oldest church on the island and one of the oldest in the Caribbean. Visitors can enter and only imagine all of the many others who worshiped in this church. I would like to have been able to ask a docent or church member questions, but... More

This cathedral is in horrible condition. It is sad being that it was the center of San Juan once upon a time. All paid tribute when they landed safely on San Juan. Now they run away as it looks like it is going to fall down.

We enjoyed our visit to the Cathedral and discovered that Ponce de Leon is buried here. It is located near a shopping area on Cristol street.
