Having traveled a significant amount, one of the things that interest me and my wife are visiting churches and seeing how each culture represents their faith. I am always disappointed when I see a church that holds significance fall into disrepair for no reason. The church is a representation of how Old San Juan as a whole is being revitalized,... More

The Cathedral is in the heart of Old San Juan. The interior has been restored to its original grandeur. Keep in mind that this is an active church. Be very respectful. Enjoy the artistry and beauty but forget the photos. This is a place of worship.

While touring Old San Juan we stopped in the Cathedral of San Juan Bautista. It was extremely pretty and a fun/interesting stop. It doesn't take long to explore and it's worth it. The stained glass is beautiful and the tomb of Juan Bautista is interesting to see.

It appeared that they are restoring this site. The church was beautiful and peaceful. Took many pictures of paintings and enjoyed the stop.

A beautiful old church in Old San Juan. Ponce De Leon is entombed here. Be sure to explore the whole church going all the way to the back left side.

This is a beautiful place. The artwork was unbelievable. They are still doing some restoration on the building, but it doesn't detract from seeing the beauty and history.
